We’ve been on the H U N T for the best dinner places to venture as a couple on our date nights in West Palm Beach. Oh, how we love this ever-evolving city! We look for West Palm Beach restaurants with fresh ingredients, all-around dining experience and chefs with a fresh edge for food + drinks. West Palm has MANY middle ground spots for those looking for all of the above, and a memorable night out on the town: fresh, healthy, seafood and food to die for, experiential, rooted, trendy and beyond delicious spots. Here are our top faves (in no particular order):
Avocado Grill … The interior was just redone and the vibe is cozy, airy and alive. The margaritas (with salt) are off the charts, my fave is the Passionfruit-oh em g. Small plates are the general theme all around. For the plant-based, non-dairy|non-meat eaters, try the curried cauliflower or the octopus. For the meat lovers, the lamb is typically the bomb. You can’t go wrong here all around.
Tapeo … We absolutely love Spain + anything associated with the country so this place is close to our hearts. Their happy hour is our fave. The sangria (white or red) and mules are so yum. Along with the grilled octopus with salad, camarones alajillo (shrimp cooked in garlic, EVOO + hot peppers) as well as the scallops dish. Some nights they have a live flamenco guitarist upstairs, such a romantic and vibey atmosphere!
High Dive … This West Palm Beach Seafood joint is an all-around experience. From the drinks (Hello-Hawaiin Time) to the small plates, seafood theme. The Wagu Crudo, Mahi, and Shaved Vegetable Salad are a must-try. All extremely fresh, full of zest and vibrancy. It’s located upstairs in the newly renovated and gorgeous Rosemary Square. Just like the food, the atmosphere of this Palm Beach restaurant feels fresh and exciting. Come hungry!
Sourbon … Atmosphere is everything and this place has got it going ON. Green everything + plants, talk about fresh. The (smokey) Paloma + Lavender cocktails are both delish and an experience. The dishes have an updated spin on fresh, French cuisine that is a must try (and experience) for yourself. The gnocchi appetizer was incredible along with the lamb main course. And then there’s the cozy, vibey speakeasy upstairs that is SO fun.
Cholo Soy Cucina … This is our don’t feel like getting too fancy but still want delicious food (+margaritas!) go-to spot. Pretty much the best tacos in West Palm Beach (both the steak and veggie) are so bomb. The yucca fries (and the dipping SAUCE), corn salad + churros too for dessert … so so fresh, delish and with such a modern flair on Mexican cuisine.
Lynora’s Deli + Market … One word: PIZZA … and we aren’t huge red sauce, Italian food people unless it’s AUTHENTIC and Lynora’s is exactly that. As one of the best Italian Food Restaurants in West Palm Beach, we LOVE the deli|market location because it’s a super low family feel with authentic, delicious, fresh Italian food and pizza. The Argula Stem salad (+ dressing!) is a must try, along with their meatballs and featured dishes that change all the time. All of their desserts (especially the apple pie and tiramisu!) are freshly made and make you feel like you’re at an Italian grandma’s house.
The Kitchen … This place is an all-around experience that has a rooted, fresh, homey|family feel to it. The food is so delicious, from scallops, vegetarian dishes to the coconut cake they are known for. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and so is the food!
Grandview Public Market … this place makes us feel like we are in the art district in Miami with its factory building style and all the various pop-up restaurants and artsy shops inside. We love that we can go here and each pick what we are in the mood for from pizza, Mediterranean, tacos, Cuban, ramen noodles, poke bowls and then hang in different rooms whether it be inside or outside and have different experiences each time we go.
